  • Create preliminary block diagram level of technical detail for alternatives in compliance with architectural standards
  • Review each preliminary alternative solution with customer to prioritize, refine, or reject.

Research Viable Alternatives, Rigorously Test Concepts and Prototypes

  • Identify any unproven or low-confidence technologies or applications in alternatives
  • Complete lab or field environment proof-of-performance testing for alternatives
  • Test to applicable standards or customer-defined requirements
  • Adjust design or eliminate alternatives based on information acquired from testing
  • Document results of performance testing for analysis and comparison.

Deliver Credible Design Solutions

  • Evaluate and prioritize alternative solutions against requirements, plans, constraints, and costs
  • Review evaluations with customer to confirm satisfaction of needs and select best solutions
  • Document selection of solutions and deliver to customer.

Provide or Assist with Background Information and Key Technology Training

  • Help ensure customer confidence in solutions and successful technology deployment
  • Provide assistance, as needed, with customer engineering and deployment efforts
  • Provide or assist with training of customer, as needed, on configuration, setup, and maintenance of implemented technologies.

Provide or Assist with Problem Analysis and Troubleshooting of Existing Technologies

  • Bring extensive applicable expertise in communications technologies to bear on existing problems.
